Monte Tomerlin - Los Angeles, CA
Implementation and Training for both Production and Financials
His business consulting began in 1983. In 1998, he pursued small to mid-market manufacturers seeking to improve performance to become competitive with emerging Pacific Rim countries. Initially, his clients were primarily aerospace, automotive, and medical parts manufacturers. ERP software addressing this market niche was in its infancy, but Epicor software was, as it has continued to be, the leading ERP product.
To date, Mr. Tomerlin has performed 200+ original implementations, 75+ re-implementations and optimizations of existing systems, and managed 100+ data migrations. While he has an in-depth working knowledge of all Epicor core and advanced modules, he excels where others struggle in the areas of Job Costing and Job Scheduling. Job Costing and Job Scheduling are the two primary reasons most companies purchase an ERP system, and, of these, Job Scheduling is rarely ever implemented.
To reduce WIP, reduce lead times, project realistic ship dates, ship on-time, and free up your capital for other uses, such as funding growth, Mr. Tomerlin will train you and your staff in implementing Finite Job Scheduling for your shop floor.
Mr. Tomerlin has an in-depth knowledge of the Epicor financial modules, including, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Payroll, General Ledger, and Multi-Company financials. He also has a BA in Business and Finance.
Mr. Tomerlin is not affiliated with the Epicor Software Corporation..
He has in depth experience creating customized Crystal Reports. This allows the custom forms (sales order acknowledgement, packing slips, invoice, etc) to be modified to have a professional look, complete with your logos and color schemes. Completely custom reports can also be created.
During his career, Jim has logged in 10+ years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP products from Vista 4, Vantage 6 & 8, and Epicor 9 and over 20 years experience developing and managing Data Warehouse – Business Intelligence Systems. He also brings a wealth of talent to Tomerlin-ERP in the areas of developing timely financial reporting procedures, accurate product costing, and effective cash management. He also has extensive experience in writing procedures for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), AS9100, manufacturing & financial best practices as well as Epicor user manuals. Jim believes that proper documentation is one of the keys to consistent excellence in day-to-day business activities in the manufacturing arena.
Jim has a BA in Management Information Systems from Cal State, Fullerton and has a Masters of Science in Administration with a concentration in accounting and finance from the University of California, Irvine.
